9 December 2019 Gala Evening “Russian-Arab Cultural Dialogue” by Sheikh Zayed Book Prize Organizing Committee On December the 9th, 2019, a gala evening was held organized by the Institute of Oriental Studies and the Organizing Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Book Prize. The gala evening took place in the hall “Moscow” of the Ritz Carlton Hotel. It was named “Russian-Arab Cultural Dialogue”.

27 November 2019 14th Annual Conference of Arabists From November 25th to 27th, 2019, the Institute of Oriental Studies hosted the annual 14th conference of arabists, organized by the Center of Arab and Islamic Studies of the Institute of Oriental Studies and the Oriental Department of the State Academic University of Humanities.

20 November 2019 Mr. H. Al Khalifa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Visited the Institute On November 20th, Mr. H. Al Khalifa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, being at the head of a representative delegation during an official visit to Russian Federation visited the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

14 October 2019 Opening of the Exhibition "Palmyra: a Fusion of Cultures" On October the 14th at the site of the Institute of Oriental Studies and the State Academic University of the Humanities, the exhibition opening took place. It was an exhibition of paintings by Vladimir Zenin, an artist from St. Petersburg. The picture-show was named "Palmira: a Fusion of Cultures". It was organized by the Eastern Department of the State Academic University for the Humanities.

22 July 2019 E.P. Sheikh, Dr. Mohammad bin Abdelkarim al-Isa, General Secretary of World Islamic League, was Conferred the Degree of Honorary Doctor On July 22nd, 2019, E.P. Sheikh, Dr. Mohammad bin Abdelkarim al-Isa, the Secretary General of the World Islamic League, during his official visit to Russian Federation, came over the Institute of Oriental Studies, where a ceremony was held to confer him the degree of honorary doctor of the Institute.

1 December 2018 Qatar Met with the Institute of Oriental Studies Representatives December 1st, 2018. International seminar "Islam in Russia" was held in the framework of the scientific cooperation program amid the Institute of Oriental Studies and Muhammad bin Hamad al-Sani Center. This organization specializes on Muslim heritage study in the College of Islamic Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (Doha, Qatar).

28 October 2018 Languages and Folklore of Southern Arabian Ethnicities: Main Directions of Recent Russian and International Studies The main objective of the Conference was to represent that day state of Semitic linguistcs branch and to outline the key points of its development.
