On November 15-16, 2025, 2nd International Academic and Practical Forum “Teaching Arabic in the Modern World: Traditions and Innovations” was held at the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Education Centre at Primakov School.
CAIS researchers took part in the event. IOS RAS Deputy Director, Head of CAIS Prof. Vasily Kuznetsov gave a plenary presentation “Russian Academic Arab Studies: Transformation of Methodological Paradigms (from I.Y. Krachkovsky to digital era challenges)”. On the second day, CAIS Leading Researcher Prof. Leonid Kogan presented a paper “Slow Reading Techniques in the Education Work with Key Texts of the Arab Culture: From Memorizing to Understanding”. At the “Didactics of the Quranic Arabic Language” section, CAIS Senior Researcher Dr. Maria Bulakh presented a paper “Semantics and Model of Preposition Verbs šarā and ʔištarā in the Qur’an”.
Prof. Kuznetsov and Prof. Kogan shared their expertise at the panel discussion “Centers and Directions of Russian Arab Studies: Balancing Traditions and Innovations: and moderated three sections: “Didactics of the Quranic Arabic Language”, “Arabic Dialectology: Teaching Arabic Dialects and Vernacular Forms of the Modern Literary Language in Russian Education System”, “Arabic Ethnolinguistics”.
