President of IOS RAS, Full Member of RAS Vitaly Naumkin Received the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" IV Class
On November 17, 2025, President Vladimir Putin signed the Decree No. 844 “On Awarding State Decorations of the Russian Federation”.
President of IOS RAS, Full Member of RAS Vitaly Naumkin was one of the renowned citizens honored by a state decoration. He received the order “For Merit to the Fatherland” IV Class.
According to the Decree published at the official government portal, Prof. Naumkin was honored for his immense contribution to the Russian academic field.
In the academic community and among experts in Political Sciences, Prof. Naumkin is considered one of the most authoritative and outstanding specialists in Oriental and Islamic Studies. His work is well-known across the world.
