Round Table “Language – Culture – Translation: Experience and Prospects of Oriental Studies”
On April 29-30, 2026, Bolgar Islamic Academy held the Round Table “Language – Culture – Translation: Experience and Prospects of Oriental Studies”, supported by the Ibn Sina Foundation.
Among others, CAIS researchers took part in the event. CAIS Chief Researcher Prof. Tawfiq Ibrahim presented a paper “Translations of Qur’an Meanings by “Qalam Sharif” and Ulama Council of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia”. Papers by Senior Researchers Dr. Said Kyamilev “Towards the Issue of Substitution of Qur’anic Translations for Tafsir Texts” and Dr. Islam Zaripov “Issue of Translating Polysemic Terms in the Qur’an” also became a contribution to the discussion. Moreover, Dr. Zaripov was a co-moderator of the Round Table.
