On May 13-15, 2026, 11th National Academic and Practical Conference “Shigabuddin Mardjani Readings: Tatar Theological Thought on Civic Consciousness and Patriotism” took place in Kazan.
The conference was organized by the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mardjani Institute of History AS RT, and Bolgar Islamic Academy, supported by the Fund for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education.
CAIS Senior Researcher Dr. Islam Zaripov moderated the “Current Issues of Islamic Theology” section. He also presented a paper “Exegetic Methodology of K. Tarjumani (based on tafsir of Ayat 2:21-22).
