Session “Islamic finance in Russia. A few facts and thoughts”, Seminar “Islamic Economics: Global Trends and Future Directions”
On June 9, 2025, CAIS Senior Research Fellow Dr. Andrei Zhuravlev took part in the webinar on Islamic finance in Russia, organized by the Institute of Islamic Studies in Human Sciences (Iran).
CAIS Senior Research Fellow Dr. Andrei Zhuravlev took part in the online session held within the framework of the regular seminar “Islamic Economics: Global Trends and Future Directions” (Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Institute of Islamic Studies in Human Sciences, Iran). He presented a paper “Islamic finance in Russia. A few facts and thoughts” which outlined the main stages of the history of Islamic/partnership financing in Russia and key aspects of present and prospective regulation, emphasizing the issue of standardization, and answered questions from the audience.
