RIAC Seminar “African Energy Market: Tendencies of Development and Problems”
On June 17, 2025, CAIS Senior Research Fellow Dr. Ruslan Mamedov took part in the Seminar of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) “African Energy Market: Tendencies of Development and Problems”.
At the event, experts discussed important issues of energy sector development in African countries and parameters of international energy cooperation.
At the session “Russia and Africa: Practical Aspects of Energy Cooperation”, Dr. Ruslan Mamedov presented his paper “Cooperation between Russia and North African States in the Field of Atomic Energy”. The paper touched upon such topics as the strategy of energy development in the countries of North Africa, their energy balance, and the current state of atomic energy sector, focusing on the present and future Russian projects in Egypt, Algeria and Morocco.
