Dialogue for the Future – 2023
On 8 December, the Fund’s main educational programme saw its final working day, which featured two discussions on cooperation between Russia and countries of the Arab East held in partnership with the Primakov Center.
The programme began with a round table called «Subregional Security in North Africa: the Role of Russia and States of the Subregion» attended by experts from Algeria and Tunisia.
The participants of the session discussed the new role that the countries of the region are starting to play on the world stage, as well as the security challenges they face. According to the experts, cooperation between the Russian Federation and North African states needs to be filled with new meanings and formats and should be geared to resolve practical problems.
The final session of the forum «Russia and the Gulf Countries: Cooperation in the Era of Global Transformations» was marked by valuable contributions from Saudi and Iraqi speakers.
The experts assessed the level of cooperation between Russia and the Gulf States. They discussed the transformation of the international order, security issues, economic interaction and the role of the oil factor in relations between the countries. The round table participants agreed that potential for further expansion of the contacts between Russia and the regional states indeed exists, covering not only politics and economy, but also implementation of educational and research projects.
In the evening, each of the participants was awarded an event certificate.
The Dialogue for the Future is the main academic and educational event organised by the Fund. The current conference is attended by approximately 80 young specialists in international relations and experts from 21 different countries.
This year, the programme is devoted to new approaches in the foreign policy of the Russian Federation in the context of our country’s efforts to create a common space of peace, mutual trust, and prosperity in Eurasia.
