Memorial Evening for Gibran Khalil Gibran

 
On December 16, within the framework of the XVIII Conference of Arabists "I. M. Smilyanskaya Readings" in the Eastern Cultural Center of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, an evening in memory of the Lebanese writer, poet, philosopher and artist Gibran Khalil Gibran was held. It was organized by the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies IOS RAS and the Regional Public Organization to promote the social adaptation of Lebanese immigrants "Lebanese House".

With dear guests, friends and colleagues, we remembered the poems of a wonderful poet, listened to music, talked about the work of an outstanding writer and poet.

In addition, within the framework of the event, a presentation of a book based on the materials of the International Scientific Conference, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the death of Gibran Khalil Gibran, took place.
