On November 29, 2021, the opening of the XVI Conference of Arabists "I.M. Smilyanskaya Readings" took place.The main topic of discussion was the publication of the Russian translation prepared by Irina Mikhailovna Smilyanskaya of "The Daily Events of Damascus al-Sham from 1154 to 1176 (1741-1763)".
